Customs seizes hashish worth Rs 42 million

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Peshawar has recovered 710 kilograms of hashish and impounded a vehicle during operation. The price of the drug is Rs 42 million in market.

According to details, the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Peshawar received an information that an attempt to smuggle drugs from Peshawar to other cities of Pakistan would be made.

After receiving the information, a raiding party was constituted during the operation anti-smuggling team stop a Hino trailer bearing registration no, KS-2358, chassis no, 081935 model 1987, and recovered 710 kilograms foreign origin hashish worth Rs 42 million.

The Customs authorities lodges FIR no, 150/2015 and registered case no, 71/2015 while further investigation is underway till the filing of this report.
