Customs seizes huge cache of hashish, opium, two held

PESHAWAR: The Customs Department seized huge cache of hashish and opium worth millions of rupees during last one week crackdown against narcotics smugglers and drug mafia and arrested two accused on the spot.

According to Custom authorities, a truck was been intercepted by the Custom raiding party on the mid night of January 25-26 following information about smuggling of narcotics to down the country from tribal areas. During search of secret cavities of the vehicle, the custom authorities found and seized 1210 Kg hashish and arrested one accused on the spot.
