LAHORE: Pakistan Customs authorities deputed at Bacha Khan International Airport seized liquor, mobile phones and charas worth millions of rupees and arrested two alleged accused in two separate actions.
According to details customs authorities at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar took into possession foreign liquor worth Rs4,14000 and new and old mobile phone worth Rs5.6 million.
Similarly, in another operation the customs mobile squad headed by Deputy Superintendent, Nasir Bokhari and Inspector Naseer Afridi recovered 22 kilogram of charas and 3.5 kilograms of opium from the secret cavities of a vehicle bearing registration No.SMA 193 at Jameel Chowk, Ring Road.
The customs squad during the operation also arrested two alleged accused including driver Gul Rehman son of Sher Mohammad Khan, resident of Mera Kachori (Khatko Pul) and Rahmat son of Saida Gul, resident of Daag Besud, district Nowshera while further investigations are in progress. The market value of the seized charas was stated to be in millions of rupees.
