KARACHI: The Directorate-General of Customs Intelligence and Investigations Balochistan has foiled a bid to smuggle seeds for preparation of drugs into the country through Balochistan border. Sources said that the Customs Intelligence and Investigations received credible information about smuggling at Iran and Afghanistan borders.
During a crackdown against smugglers, Customs authorities successfully seized 120 kilograms of seeds which were used for preparation of drugs. The value of these seeds are Rs 17,00000. On the other hands customs authorities also seized foreign origin cloth and arrested one smuggler Saeedullah Bangash. Sources told Customs Today that customs authorities conducted 22 successful operations during the month of July, 2015.
