PESHAWAR: Kharlachi Customs Station at the Pak-Afghan border in Kurrram Agency has been computerized to bring transparency in the system and traders would get all the facilities on the border.
Sources told Customs Today that the land has been acquired for establishing modern customs stations at Kharlachi, Borki and Tri Mengal.
After installation of One Customs Online System, the Kharlachi station has been linked with computer system all over the country, enabling exporters and importers to get all the facilities at the border. The system besides bringing transparency it would yield increase in revenue.
Meanwhile, customs clearing agent and importer and exporter Shujauddin lauded the online system, said backward areas like Parachinar would greatly benefit from the move.
