Customs settles 3 department cases, 30 pending of FY2016-17

ISLAMABAD: Collectorate of Customs has settled three departmental cases in Fiscal Year2016-17 it is learnt here.

Sources told Customs Today that, customs department cannot bear any violation in side department by any employee; zero tolerance policy is implemented for violating departmental rules regulations, Code of Conduct and offense.

Sources further told that total 33 departmental cases were initiated or carryout further against the staff of BPS 16 of Customs department during FY 2016-17 for violation the rule regulation of the department. Meanwhile three cases has been finalized and closed however, 30 cases are still pending to be decided. Similarly, 33 cases were initiated during fiscal year 2015-16 in which 13 cases has been finalized and 20 are still pending to be finalized.

Moreover, 18 cases were initiated during fiscal year 2014-15, where 03 cases have been decided by department and 15 cases are in progress. Sources further added that such cases which are still pending a details inquiry are undergo, for fair action, cases having minor allegations are also treated strictly to avoid further reoccurrences. Department will not bear any violation and misconduct by any employee.
