Customs (South) hosts farewell Iftar dinner in honour of FBR chief

KARACHI: Pakistan Customs (South) has hosted a farewell Iftar-cum-dinner in honour of outgoing Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Dr Muhammad Irshad at the Ramada Creek DHA Karachi.

All officers of Pakistan Customs Service (South) attended the said function along with senior officers of Inland Revenue Service (South). The guests were treated to a sumptuous Iftar followed by speeches by senior officers of both the services and the function ended with a dinner which was enjoyed by all guests.

Senior officers from both Pakistan Customs Service and Inland Revenue Service paid glowing tributes to the outgoing FBR chairman highlighting his accomplishments and initiatives he took throughout his career and especially as the FBR chairman.

Training and Research (Customs) Director General Rubina Wasti, Chief Commissioner LTU Syed Ayaz Mehmood, Chief Collector Enforcement South Manzoor Memon, Chief Collector Appraisement South Rashid Sheikh and Collector Preventive Dr Saifuddin Junejo all gave speeches highlighting the various accomplishments of the outgoing FBR chairman.

One of the main achievements highlighted by all speakers was a positive approach of the chairman towards the departmental issues and creation of harmony between the two services (Pakistan Customs Service and Inland Revenue Service) and creation of FBR Foundation.

In the end FBR Chairman Dr Irshad spoke about his experiences as an FBR officer for thirty plus years and thanked all the guests for attending the dinner.
