Customs, State Bank introduce electronic ‘E’ form to facilitate rice exporters

KARACHI: Department of Customs and State Bank of Pakistan introduce electronic “E” forms to facilitate rice exporters of Pakistan. To update rice exporters about “E” forms, a training seminar was held at REAP House Karachi.

Director Reforms and Automation Directorate Abdul Majid Yousafani was also present, while Additional Director State Bank of Pakistan Zulfikar Khokar and chairman REAP Rafiq Suleman, Chilla Ram, Raza Amjad, Faisal Masood Chaudhary also take part in the seminar. This seminar was being telecast by video link to all over Pakistan.

On this occasion while addressing the participants Abdul Majid Yousafani said that importers were facing lot of hardships due to old system, while there were several complaints regarding theft of old “E” forms, when customs authorities seized that consignments importers have to face tough situation.

Now we are going to get rid of this old system. Now importer will fill “E” form online, and after getting verification from concerned bank will submit the same online. This form will be available on Customs computer also.
