Customs to arrange candlelight vigil in remembrance of Abdul Sattar Edhi

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Preventive has decided to pay rich homage to departed soul of Abdul Sattar Edhi, who served the mankind without any discrimination and personnel gains.

The Customs Preventive, while following the directions of Collector Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda, is going to arrange a candlelight vigil here on Friday at 6pm outside the Custom House in honour of the national hero –Abdul Sattar Edhi.

According to the details, a ‘Quran Khawani’ for the departed soul of Adbul Sattar Edhi would also be organised by the Custom Department after Friday Prayer.

The candle light vigil would be attended by Customs Enforcement-South Chief Collector Muhammad Zahid Khokhar, Appraisement-South Chief Collector Abdul Rashid Shaikh, Customs Valuation Director General Syed Tanvir Ahmed, Customs Preventive Collector Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda and other customs officers.

The people belonging to different walks of life including businessmen, lawyers, engineers, doctors and members of civil society would also be a part of the ceremony.
