Customs to hold Golf tournament on August 26, 27th

LAHORE: Customs Collectorate Preventive, Lahore is all set to hold first ever “Custom Golf Cup” of its nature on 27th August, 2016 at the Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club.

As per details amateur golf players/ officers/ officials of Pakistan Customs department will participate in the tournament.

Official sources said that at the end of the tournament a prize distribution ceremony will also be held. In 2-days golf tournament event, first day ladies (9 holes), seniors (18 holes), veterans (9 holes) is schedule while on 2nd day Invitees (9 holes) will be played before the opening ceremony of the tournament.

Among others regular Gymkhana Club golfer, provincial secretaries, officers from Pakistan Rangers, officers from Airport Security Force, Lahore and renowned businessmen are invited. It is expected that around 150 players of different categories will participate in the tournament.

This is a first golf tournament of its nature organized by the Custom department in this year. In future the department has also planned organize similar supports activities for other games also.

It is said that Punjab Governor Rafiq Rajwana has consented to be the chief guest on the occasion while Customs top officials including Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Samaira Nazir, Lahore Preventive Collector Customs Zulifqar Younas will also be present on the occasion.
