KARACHI: The Pakistan Customs is likely to take into confidence the business community to launch major crackdown against the sale of smuggled goods in the city’s major markets, Customs Today learnt.

Sources told Customs Today that the Customs Intelligence had reports that few traders of the city were allegedly involved in facilitating the smuggling of contraband items and their sale in the local markets.  Collector MCC Preventive S Tariq Huda will soon meet with the leaders of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries FPCCI and Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry KCCI so that the business community should not support those involved in smuggling of goods, sources added.
