LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal’s Bench-II (single, double and Larger), comprising Chairman Justice Retired Malik Manzoor Hussain, Judicial Member Omer Arshad Hakeem and Member Technical Imran Tariq, heard 22 cases and adjourned all of them until the next hearing.
The Customs Appellate Tribunal’s single bench, comprising Omer Arshed Hakeem, heard six cases including Khalid Hussain verus Directorate Multan Unit Sadiqabad, Customs Multan versus Rana Muhammad Idrees, Muhammad Shafique versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Multan, Allah Rakha and Brothers versus Directorate Multan Unit Sadiqabad, Customs Lahore versus Muhammad Naeem Bhatti and Directorate Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Lahore versus Taimoor Enterprises.
Larger Bench-II Malik Manzoor Hussain, Imran Tariq and Omer Arshed Hakeem heard four cases. All the four cases are of Zafar Brothers versus Customs Multan.
On Monday, the tribunal division bench-II heard 10 cases of Muhammad Sadiq versus Customs Lahore, Jeelan Logistic versus Customs Faisalabad, Saif Ullah versus Customs Lahore, Khadim Hussain Chandio versus Customs Multan and Rana Shaukat versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore.
Furthermore, the tribunal heard Rehmat Ullah versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore, Javid Justin Khokhar versus Customs Lahore, Asim/Momin sons versus Post Clearance Audit Lahore, Khalid Mehmood versus Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Lahore and Hussain Trading versus Customs Faisalabad.
In all the cases, representatives of the appellants and respondents appeared before the court and argued in favour of their respective parties. In few cases, verdicts are reserved and all other cases are transferred to next dates for further hearings. All cases will be heard on the next fixed dates.
