LAHORE: The Customs Appellate Tribunal has accepted an appeal filed by M/s Amir Bearing Centre and others against the Director General Customs Valuation Lahore and others.
Justice Retired Malik Manzoor Hussain examined all the record and heard the arguments from both sides and passed the order that the Customs Appellate Tribunal has observed the facts so all the appeals are accepted, and the impugned Order-In-Revision is set aside and directions are issued to re-determine the value as per new valuation ruling.
As per brief history of the case, all the appellants were importers bearing different brands in the country. In the case, appellants mentioned that Director Customs Valuation Karachi issued Valuation Ruling for the determination of customs values of the Bearing. The value ruling was challenged by different importers before the Director General Customs Valuation who dismissed the decision.
Being dissatisfied from the order, appellants filed the appeal before the Customs Appellate Tribunal on the grounds that new ruling by the authorities against the bearing imports does not satisfy the bearing importers, and this should be dismissed. On the other side, the counsel for respondent denied all the facts.
After hearing arguments from both sides, Customs Appellate Tribunal accepted the appeal of importers and others to predetermine the value as per new ruling.
