Customs Tribunal to hear 16 cases today

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal will hear 16 scheduled cases on first day (Monday) of the current week.

The division bench, comprising tribunal’s Chairman Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti and Technical Member M Nasir Khan will hear the cases filed by tax department and private petitioners.

The bench would hear three cases filed by M/s Iqbal and Company, M/s Sun Diplomatic Bonded Warehouse and Abid Butt seeking parties’ comments. These three cases were filed against Islambad Customs.

Meanwhile, the tribunal would also hear 13 cases set for regular hearing. Out of these 13 cases, two were filed against customs department, while 11 other were carrying Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Islamabad as respondent.

Momentum Trading, Malik Jehangir, M/d Waseem Autos, M/d Nasir Traders, M/s Parts & Parts, M/s Chief Autos, M/S Aman Elahi & Co and Kohinoor Traders filed the said cases against customs department and Customs Intelligence.
