Customs valuation determines values of brake fluid ‏

MULTAN: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation determined the values of brake fluid vide Valuation Ruling No. 759/2015 under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969 .

According to details, M/s Indus Mobiles an importer of brake fluid filed a review petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on the grounds that subject ruling was old and did not reflect current international market prices which had considerably declined.

The SHC directed Directorate General of Customs Valuation to re-determine values after hearing the petitioner’s point of view. Consequently an exercise for determination of customs values of brake fluid was initiated in this regard.

Accordingly to Customs valuation ruling engine oil/gasoline oil/ transmission oil brake fluid DOT 3 Toyota (black) 354ml under PCT code 2710.1994 of USA would be assessed to duty and taxes at $8.24 per liter.

The engine oil/gasoline oil/ transmission oil brake fluid DOT 3 Seiken (B.F-3) 355ml under PCT Code 2710.1994 of Japan would be assessed to duty and taxes at $2.98 per liter.

The engine oil/gasoline oil/transmission oil brake fluid DOT 3 SK 355ml under PCT Code 2710.1994 of South Korea would be assessed to duty and taxes at $2.95 per litre.

The engine oil/gasoline oil/transmission oil brake fluid DOT 3, PUCHS 250ml under PCT Code 2710.1994 of Saudi Arabia would be assessed to duty and taxes at $2.90 per litre.

The engine oil/gasoline oil/transmission oil brake fluid DOT 3, 355m1- Other brand under PCT Code 2710.1994 of all origin excluding USA would be assessed to duty and taxes at $2.90 per liter.

The engine oil/gasoline oil/transmission oil brake fluid DOT 3, 250ml- Other brand under PCT Code 2710.1994 of all origin excluding USA would be assessed to duty and taxes at $2.92 per liter.

The engine oil/gasoline oil/transmission oil brake fluid in bulk packing under PCT Code 2710.1994 of all origin excluding USA would be assessed to duty and taxes at $1.52 per liter.
