Customs valuation of zip sliders/zip runners revised

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) Directorate General Customs Valuation has revised the customs values of low-end brands’ zip sliders/zip runners.

Customs Valuation Director Wasif Memon revised the customs values of zip sliders/zip runners  vide Valuation Ruling No. 889/2016.

The valuation was revised after increase in value of zip sliders/zip runners in the international market as compared to the values determined earlier vide Valuation Ruling No. 480/2012. An exercise was initiated to determine the values of zip sliders/zip runners under PCT 9607 afresh.

The customs values of zip sliders/zip runners -zinc – of China are fixed at $4.0/kg, of all other origins at $4.6/kg. The customs values of zip sliders/zip runners -brass – of China are fixed at $8.0/kg, of all other origins at $8.7/kg. The customs values of zip sliders/zip runners -non-magnetic steel – of China are fixed at $3.5/kg, of all other origins at $4.0/kg. The customs values of zip sliders/zip runners -magnetic steel – of China are fixed at $3.15/kg, of all other origins at $3.7/kg.
