Karachi: Customs values of Viscose Fabric determined

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has determined the customs values of Viscose Fabric under section 25-A of the Customs act, 1969 vide Valuation Ruling No. 748/2015.

According to the details, it was brought to the notice of the Directorate General of Customs Valuation by various Collectorates that the Viscose Fabric was being imported at different values.

Therefore, an exercise to determine the customs values of the subject goods under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969 was initiated.

In this regard a meeting was held with the stakeholders including importers and representatives of trade bodies to discuss the issues related to the values of Viscose Fabrics.

Viscose Fabrics hereinafter specified, shall be assessed to duty/taxes  on the customs values mentioned as below;

From now onward the Viscose Fabrics under PCT Heading 5516.1100, 5516.1200, 5516.1300 and 5515.1400 China origin would be assessed at the rate of 4.60USD per kilogram while Viscose Fabrics (Embroided) under PCT Heading 5516.1100, 5516.1200, 5516.1300 and 5516.1400 China origin would be assessed at the rate of 5.30 USD per kilogram.
