LAHORE: A team of Wildlife Department, with the help of Customs authorities, have recovered 50 pigeons from a passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport and imposed fine on him.
Sources informed Customs Today that a team was constituted by Director General Wildlife and Parks, Punjab, Khalid Ayaz Khan which recovered 50 pigeons from a passenger Tariq Mahmood Bhatti, a resident of Kaleywala, tehsil Wazirabad, district Gujranwala, who brought them illegally from Kuwait.
The raiding team, taking action against the passenger, imposed Rs 35,000 on him under Wildlife Act from him.
