ISLAMABAD: The exports of cutlery witnessed an increase of 17.78 percent during the first two months of the current financial year 2026-27, as against the exports of the corresponding months of last year.
The cutlery exports from the country were recorded at US $10.280 million during July-August 2026-27 against the exports of US $8.728 million during July-August 2025-26, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
Meanwhile, on a year-on-year basis, cutlery exports surged by 17.86 percent during the months under review as opposed to the same months last year.
Cutlery exports in August 2026 were recorded at US$ 5.214 million against the exports of US$ 4.424 million in August 2025.
On a month-on-month basis, cutlery exports also increased by 2.93 per cent during August 2026, in contrast to the exports of US$5.066 million in July 2026, the PBS data revealed.
It is pertinent to mention here that the overall exports from the country increased by 7.04 per cent during the months under review as compared to the previous year, the data revealed.
Exports during July-August were recorded at $5.459 billion against $5.100 billion during July-August last year.
On the other hand, imports into the country also went up by 13.03 per cent, growing from $11.125 billion last year to $12.575 billion this year.
