Czech lady smuggler arrested in heroin smuggling using twitter in Customs custody

LAHORE: Czech Republic woman, Tereza Hzulkova who was arrested at Lahore airport last week with nine kilograms heroin while trying to board a flight to Dubai, appears to be operating her Twitter account while in custody.

The 21-year-old Tereza Hzulkova, who is said to be a model, is currently in custody of Customs authorities after a Special Court on January 12 sent her to jail on 14-day judicial remand.

The woman was in Pakistan on a three-month family visit visa which was issued on November 15 and valid till February 14. Customs officials have refused to hand over the woman to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) officials and she has been shifted to the Customs House.

According to the airport sources, the woman had crossed both counters of Anti-Narcotics Force before getting caught. The customs team said that raids are being conducted in different parts of the city as per the information shared by the woman. Customs team has registered a case under Pakistan Customs Act of 1969. She was sent to jail after that.

Since then, the model has been frequently using Twitter, asking for legal help, claiming that she is innocent. In a series of tweets, she further said that people from her country have visited her. Following a series of tweets over the past couple of days, she claimed that it’s her last tweet.
