LONDON: Unemployment in the Czech Republic dropped further in April to the weakest level in more than seven years, figures from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs showed Monday.
Job offices registered altogether 414,960 job seekers in April, marking its lowest level since January 2009. Compared with the same month last year, total job seekers declined by 76,625 persons. The unemployment rate fell to 5.7 percent in April from 6.1 percent in March. In the corresponding month last year, the jobless rate was 6.7 percent.
