Dar asks Tax Reforms Commission to finalize its recommendations for upcoming budget

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance, Muhammad Ishaq Dar here on Friday directed the Tax Reforms Commission for finalizing its recommendations which could be reflected in the forthcoming budget as preparations of budget had already been initiated.

Dar chaired a meeting of Commission which was attended by the Chairman Tax Reforms Commission Masood Naqvi, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Tariq Bajwa while other senior officials of the Ministry of Finance were also present.

Masood Naqvi briefed the Minister about the work undertaken by various committees and inputs given by the members, which he said would certainly prove beneficial in betterment of the tax collection system and facilitation of tax payers at large.

He said that the Commission while finalizing its report would encompass suggestions from all the members and report would be compiled in a manner that it would reflect point of view of all the stakeholders.

The Commission would next convene its meeting in early March.
