Dar assures APTMA to solve problems of textile industry

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has assured the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) to solve the problems of the textile industry.

According to the details, the APTMA delegation headed by Pattern Chief Gohar Ejaz held a meeting with the finance minister and briefed him on the issues related to the industry.

The finance minister was also briefed on the performance of the textile sector in domestic exports and informed that the textile industry is facing the problem of electricity and gas supply.

The delegation told the finance minister that expensive gas is being supplied to the textile industry of Punjab while imports of textile industry machinery have stopped.

The delegation also told the finance minister that the supply chain of the textile industry has been disrupted.

The delegation appealed to the finance minister that the problems of the textile industry should be solved to increase domestic exports.

The Finance Minister after getting a briefing from the delegation directed the concerned authorities to solve the problems of the textile industry.
