Dar assures Murad of raising sales tax deduction issue with FBR

KARACHI: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has discussed various issues with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, including the matters pertaining to the development of the province, NFC award and deduction of the sales tax from the Sindh account by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

According to sources, they also discussed the financial issues and the matters related to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The chief minister raised the issue of direct deduction of Rs 8 billion from the Sindh’s account against the sales tax by the FBR. The source also informed that the finance minister assured full support to the Sindh government against the financial problems of the province. He stated that he would take up the issue with the FBR chairman against the deduction of sales tax from the account of the Sindh government.
