ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator, Mohammad Ishaq Dar attended the National Day and Election Day of the United States of America as chief guest on behalf of the Prime minister.
During the occasion he cut the cake with American Ambassador David Hale and appreciated the democratic process. While speaking to the audience federal finance minister said government of Pakistan deeply appreciate the development and cooperation between the two countries have had over the years.
He said that regardless to who wins the elections, we look forward to work closely with the new administration in persuasion of our common ideas of freedom, democracy, peace and prosperity.
The finance minister congratulated people of the United States on behalf of people of Pakistan on their National Election Day and expressed the hope that trade and economic relations between the two countries will be further strengthen.
On this occasion American envoy David Hale said that democracy is a key piller of the partnership between Pakistan and United States.
