Dar grants approval to increase salaries of Management Pay Scales from Dec

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar has granted approval to increase the salaries of Management Pay Scales and introduced new Management Pay Scales 2016.  According to new pay scales, the salary has been increased between Rs.11000 to Rs 33000. Ad hoc relief in salary will be subject to income tax.

According to a notification issued by finance division, salary package will take into effect from 1st December 2016. According to the notification, the minimum pay of MP1 Scale will be Rs 2,89,300 and maximum Rs 3,55,300. Before the revision it was Rs 2,63,300 and Rs 3,24,000 as MPII scale was receiving Rs 1,10,000 minimum and maximum Rs 1,76,000 and now they will receive minimum Rs 1,21,000 and maximum Rs 1,93,600. MP 1 scale minimum salary was Rs 77,000 and maximum Rs 1,10, 000 now it will be minimum Rs 84,700 and maximum Rs 1,21,000. There is no increase in house rent and utility bills.  The revised MP package will be automatically admissible to the existing incumbents working in MP scales.

However, the extension if required, of the existing contract of MP Scale holders, will be considered only if their performance is found satisfactory after evaluation by the performance evaluation committee and approval of the competent authority. The medical facilities, reimbursement of medical and hospitalization charges for self, spouse and children for treatment received at Government hospital or Govt recognized institutions in Pakistan will remain same.
