Dar likely to speak on state of economy in Senate today

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is likely to present two important economic reports to the Upper House of Parliament here on Friday (today).
Sources privy to the development, told Customs Today that the finance minister was likely to submit the third quarterly report for year 2013- 2014 of the Central Board of Directors of State Bank of Pakistan on the state of Pakistan’s economy to the Senate. Similarly, Ishaq Dar will also present report on second biannual monitoring on the implementation of the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award for the period January-June 2013 in the House.
Both the reports are required to be laid before the House under Section 9 A (f) of the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956 and under clause (3B) of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 respectively.
