PESHAWAR: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has pledged boost economic activities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
He said this, while addressing an award ceremony to commemorate the 12th Business Excellence Award at the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industries. According to a handout issued by the KP Governor House, the minister said that the federal government is combating militancy with industrial and economic development. The handout quoted Dar as saying the federal government would not let militants tamper with the goal of economic progress and prosperity.
Dar said the PML-N-led government devised strategies to eradicate militancy from its roots. “Peace and stability are returning all over the country following military action in North Waziristan. The Centre is now in a position to pursue its economic agenda.”
