Dar presides over meeting of Tax Reforms Committee

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has presided over a meeting of the Tax Reforms Committee. Participants of the meeting considered implementation on various proposals recommended by the committee.

Sources informed Customs Today that prominent among those who attended the meeting are Advisor to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar, FBR Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan, Member Administration Majid Qureshi, Member Inland Revenue Operations Dr Mohammad Irshad, Member Inland Revenue Policy Rehmatullah Khan Wazir, Member FATE Nadeem Dar, Member Legal Shoukat Ali, Tax Reforms Commission Chairman Masood Naqvi and Member Customs Nasir Masroor Ahmad.

During the meeting a presentation was given to participation on “Road to Seven Trillion”. Federal Finance Minister directed FBR to speed up the process of implementation on recommendations of Tax Reforms Commission. He said we are working on some measures to enhance the revenue collection upto Rs 7000 billion during next few years.

Federal Finance Minister also hailed the performance of committe. The participants of the meeting also considered on implementation of decisions which were taken during previous meetings. It was decided during the meeting that implementation of proposals will be strictly monitored to achieve desired results.
