ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, while winding up the discussion on federal budget for fiscal year 2015-16, has made some changes in budget and withdrew some taxes and increased the salary of the government employees.
The minister announced a Rs20 billion agricultural fund. He announced to accept 66 out of 92 proposals made by the Senate. “36 proposals cannot be executed immediately,” he added. Dar, terming the budget pro-poor, also increased allocation for the Benazir Income Support Programme to Rs102 billion from Rs97 billion.
