ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has termed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s call of civil disobedience movement unlawful and unconstitutional.
Talking to a private TV channel, he urged the PTI chief to review his decision in the interest of the country.
He said that for the past one week the stock exchange had suffered a loss of Rs 350 billion.
Dar also said that 90 percent development and daily expenditures of the provinces were met through the revenues from federal divisible pool. He said that international organisations and credit rating agencies were appreciating government’s economic policies including Moody’s, which had improved Pakistan’s ranking from negative to stable.
He said that Japan External Trade Organisation had termed Pakistan the best investment destination if it continued current economic policies.
Ishaq Dar urged Imran Khan to shun his ego and work in the best interest of the country and welfare of the people.
