Dar reiterates govt’s commitment to resolve traders’ issues

LAHORE: Reiterating his determination, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the federal government is committed to address real issues of all the business community.

He said this while talking to a delegation of traders and business community in Lahore. He said that the government would offer a package of incentives to exporters aimed at accelerating the economic growth and rapid industrialization.

The minister said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif always attach great importance to the welfare of traders and business community and committed to resolve their all genuine problems on top priority.

Dar said it was first time in the history that Prime Minister invited all top leaders of chambers to have direct one-on-one interaction. He said before giving final shape to strategic trade policy framework, viable and concrete proposals put forth by the exporters associations and other heads of chambers would be incorporated.

Later, talking to High Commissioner designate to Canada Tariq Azeem, the Finance Minister said remittances by overseas Pakistanis play a significant role to increase Foreign Exchange reserves. He lauded the role of overseas Pakistanis in strengthening national economy. He urged the need to attract more foreign investment in Pakistan.
