Dar rejects allegations regarding misuse of authority

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday rejected allegations levelled against him regarding misuse of authority and assets terming them as baseless and frivolous.

“I am shocked to learn from media today about certain allegations levelled against me relating to misuse of authority and assets beyond means, appeared to be released by NAB authorities”, the minister said in a statement issued here.

He clarified that “I have been regularly disclosing all my income and assets in my annual tax returns as well as in statement of assets with Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)”

The same are in public knowledge, gazetted by ECP and can be accessed on ECP’s website, he added.
