Dar reviews measures for effective fiscal, monetary discipline in country

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar here on Monday presided a meeting to review the current profile of agricultural credit.

The Minister said that the government attached great importance to the growth and promotion of the agriculture sector as it was a major contributor to the national economy. In order to achieve this objective he said, facilitation of the farmers’ community was all the more necessary. Provision of credit to them was major component of this facilitation he said. The Minister emphasized that all possible efforts should be made to meet target for disbursement of agriculture credit during the current fiscal year.
