Dar says Pakistan’s economy moving in right direction

KARACHI: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that economy is moving in the right direction due to prudent policies of the government.

Addressing the World Islamic Finance Forum here on Monday, he said that prime minister was taking keen interest in the promotion of Islamic banking and stressed the need for future course of action to promote it further.

The minister said Islamic banking system is transparent and expressed the resolve that the system would be spread across the country. He informed the gathering that hurdles in the way of popularizing the system were being removed. Dar said that the CPEC projects could also be funded through Islamic banking.
