He said Qatar will provide liquefied natural gas to Pakistan at 13.37 percent less than three years ago prices of crude oil in the international market.

The liquefied natural gas rate will roughly be according to Pakistan domestic gas price, he said, adding that Qatar is providing liquefied natural gas to other regional countries at the rate of $5 to $6, while Pakistan will get it at the price of $4.3 dollar.

To a question, he said that most of the ongoing power projects from all resources would start power generation within next two years.

The federal minister said that sufficient electricity and gas would not only be available to all sorts of consumers, but also at a comparative rate within the next two years.

The financial close of $2.4 billion Thar Coal Extraction Project has been done away with and the prime minister would soon perform the groundbreaking of the project to be completed by 2018.

Pakistan has organised a very successful single country exhibition in Sri Lanka and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) would also arrange such exhibitions in other countries, as well, Dastagir said.
