FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Saima Ayyaz issued a show cause notice to a suspect involved in a smuggling of BMW vehicle into Faisalabad. Sources told Customs Today that, following special directives given by Deputy Director Rana Irfan Shouqat of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad, the staff of the Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) Sargodha deployed some staff in the specific area for a crackdown on the illegal possession of the vehicles.

The staff intercepted a BMW car bearing registration No: AQH-740 (Sindh) which was coming into the city illegally. The Customs Intelligence staff asked the driver to show any documentary evidence of the legal import and lawful possession of the vehicle but he failed to prove the genuineness of the car.
