MILLSBORO: A Lewes man is behind bars, after Police say they found heroin in his car during a traffic stop, leading to a search of a nearby apartment, which netted more heroines.
Delaware State Police say, the Sussex County Drug Task Force, and the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, stopped a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Carl Stallings, near Long Neck. Investigators say they searched the vehicle, and found 13 baggies of heroin, totaling .195 grams, all labeled “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” as well as over $1,400 in suspected drug money.
Police say they also searched an apartment on River Bend Road that was apparently linked to Stalling, and his reported illegal drug activities. At the Long Neck apartment, Officials say they found another 1,214 baggies of heroin, totaling more than 18 grams, also stamped “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Stallings was taken to Troop 4, where he was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of a controlled substance – heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is now behind bars at the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $51,000 cash bond.
Stalling was previously arrested back in January, also on heroin charges.
