Denmark shares lower at closing of trade, OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.66%

COPENHAGEN: Denmark equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.66%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which rose 0.95% or 3.5 points to trade at 371.7 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 0.71% or 1.7 points to end at 241.8 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was up 0.48% or 2.4 points to 500.5 in late trade.

Biggest losers included AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which lost 2.04% or 230 points to trade at 11040 in late trade. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 2.01% or 0.76 points to end at 37.08 and AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) shed 1.95% or 230 points to 11570.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 51 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.12% or 0.59 to $53.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.03% or 0.57 to hit $55.65 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 6.85 to trade at $1226.05 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.44% to 7.0442, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4338.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 101.93.
