Departmental Promotion Committee meets for promotion of ministerial officials

KARACHI: The meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for the promotion of ministerial staff was held on Wednesday at Customs House, Karachi.

The DPC meeting was convened by Additional Collector-I, MCC-Appraisement (West), Dr Ifthikar Ahmed while the officers of Deputy Collector’s level of MCC-Preventive, MCC-Export, MCC-Appraisement (East) and MCC-Port Muhammad Bin Qasim attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the promotion cases of ministerial officials of Pakistan Customs under Grade-15 including Lower Divisional Clerks (LDC), Upper Divisional Clerks (UDC), Data Controlling Assistants (DCAs), sepoys and others were reviewed in the light of their Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs).

According to the details, the DPC would allow promotion of the ministerial staff against the 11 posts after reviewing the performance of the officials in the light of their ACRs filed with the Establishment Division, Appraisement.

According to the sources, the Revenue Division-Establishment, FBR has received and finalized 35 ACRs against 11 posts for promotion.

They further informed this scribe that officials would be promoted on the basis of their performance and seniority.
