Deputy C ollector Asma orders to impound non duty paid Yamaha bike

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has issued Order in Original (ONO)in favour of Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) by declaring the confiscation of bike lawful.

As per details, Faisalabad ASO team intercepted a used Yamaha bike bearing Registration No: FZR-250 near Kamalpur Sargodha Road Faisalabad and asked the owner Shah Jahan son of Muhammad Malik to produce the documents showing the legal import of the bike but he remained fail.

Therefore, the officials impounded the Yamaha bike under Section 2(s) read with Section 168 of the Customs Act, 1969. Later, the case was forward to Customs Adjudication.

However, the accused person did not appear before the court. But Inspector Ali Zahid presented before the adjudication authority on the behalf of customs. Therefore, Deputy Collector Asma Hameed ordered to impound the bike in favour of federal government.
