Deputy Collector Abro tells exporters, clearing agents to present complete export documents

SIALKOT: Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro has said that he has already intimated all exporters and customs clearing agents that they must present complete documents for any export consignment.

Talking  to Customs Today Abro said that many exporters and customs agents attach only two copies of invoices while four are required. Three copies of “E” form are required but only one or two copies are attached. He said that the Customs Department has instructed that they must attach copy of Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and Letter of Credit (LC) but the exporters and customs clearing agents show negligence in this regard.

He said when the Customs Preventive Staff stop consignments due to incomplete documents then the exporters and customs clearing agents start to beseech for clearance of consignments. Abro said that the customs staff advised many times to exporters and customs clearing agents that send consignments on SDPT and with complete documents whereas the 65 percent exporters. He said that the Federal Board Of Revenue (FBR) has instructed that Customs Preventive Department will bound to get affidavit of stamp paper from all exporters with documents for all export consignments whereas any export will not clear without affidavit. He said that the customs clearing agents will guide to exporters that affidavit is necessary to attach export consignments. He said that the ratio of export at SDPT and Airport is much better while export is increasing day by day and SDPT has good name in collection of revenue in the country.
