Deputy Collector Adjudication Saima Ayaz hears 18 cases of smuggling

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Saima Ayaz conducted hearing of 18 cases related to smuggling and tax evasion.

Sources told Customs Today, that eight cases were forwarded by Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali against Javed Iqbal, Ansar Ali, Ghulab Khan, Nisar Ahmed and others.

Three cases were submitted by ASO Sargodha against Arif ullah, Iqbal Ali, and Abdul Ghaffa who are allegedly involved in using smuggling of diesel 299 drums, foreign origin sofa cloth and Land Cruiser body case.

The deputy collector also heard four cases which were submitted by Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I), Faisalabad and one case submitted by ASO Faisalabad.

The customs Collectorate bonds branch refferred a case of audit recovery. The case was registered against M/s Bilal Textile and M/s Cres Style Faisalabad.

After conducting hearing of cases, Deputy Collector Saima Ayaz adjourned hearing of all cases until next dates. The deputy collector directed all relevant parties to ensure their appearance during next date of hearing.
