Deputy Collector Adjudication Saima issues notice to owner of NDP Toyota Hiace

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Saima Ayyaz has issued a show cause notice to the owner of non-duty paid Toyota Hiace van bearing registration no LEI- 16-2695. The Customs Anti- Smuggling Organization (ASO) impounded the above said vehicle during intelligence based operation near Sargodha Road.

According to details, ASO team intercepted the vehicle for checking and asked the owner Mansoor Arif Khan to show documents regarding legal import of the vehicle but he failed to produce the documents.

Therefore, the officials impounded the car and forward the case to the Customs Adjudication for further legal action against the suspect. Now the authority has issued notices to accused person on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act 1969.

However, the Customs Adjudication directed the suspect to file his reply by given time. The cases of the vehicle might be decided in the next hearing.
