Deputy Collector Asma Hameed declears seizure of Toyota Corolla legal

FAISALABAD:  Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has issued Order-in-Original (OnO) in favour of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Khushab.

Sources told Customs Today that the officials intercepted a Toyota Corolla car bearing registration No. MNZ-49 and asked the owner of the vehicle, who was identified as Imtiaz Ahmad son of Haji Muhammad Mumtaz, to produce legal documents regarding the possession of the vehicle, but he failed to provide any relevant documents.

The officials seized the vehicle and forwarded the case to the customs adjudication. During the scrutiny of documents it was revealed that the documents were bogus and fabricated.

No one appeared to defend the case from respondent and that the respondents have nothing to defend against the allegation. While Muhammad Saleem (IO) appeared from the seizing agency and reiterated the charges.
