Deputy Collector Asma Hameed issues six show-cause notices to owners of smuggled goods, vehicles

FAISALABAD: The Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Asma Hameed has issued six show-cause notices to accused parties.

Sources told Customs Today, that all these cases were submitted by Anti-smuggling Organization (ASO), Mianwali, ASO Sargodha and Faisalabad. The cases include seizure of foreign origin cigarettes and non duty paid vehicles which were impounded by customs authorities according to related customs section. After seizure cases, an advanced information report ( AIR ) has been forwarded to the customs adjudication in Faisalabad.

Deputy Collector Asma Hameed  issued three show-cause notices to Muhammad Akbar and two unclaimed person, one show cause notice was issued through ASO Sargodha which includes seizure of  non-customs cigarettes. Two show-cause notices were sent to Abdul Rasheed and unclaimed which were seizes Corolla-X- car bearing registration no ( FR-9 ) and Mitshbishi Pajero bearing registration no.  9339).

Deputy Collector Asma Hameed also directed concerned seizure officer or other officer with the case proceedings may be deputed to attend the hearing on the schedule date along with relevant record.
