Deputy Collector Asma Hameed issues three ONOs

FAISALABAD: Deputy Collector Adjudication Asma Hameed has issued three Orders-in-Origin (ONOs) in favor of the Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali and Field Investigation Unit (FIU) Khushab.

Sources told Customs Today that the  ASO Mianwali team seized non-duty paid animal skins  which were being transported from Afghanistan to Kasur on truck bearing registration no. Z- 8133. The owners of the goods, identified as Noor Mat Khan, failed to produce legal documents regarding the possession of the items.

Faisalabad Customs Intelligence and Investigation intercepted a container, bearing registration no. FLTA- 818 loaded with muzafati dates.  The owner of the items Shakir  Nadeem and Muhammad Yasin also failed to produce legal documents regarding ownership of the dates.

During the case proceedings, it was proved that the owners had failed to produce any legal documents regarding possession of these items. Customs Adjudication Deputy  Collector Asma Hameed, after hearing the arguments, issued ONO in favour of the Customs department according to customs act.
