FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Additional Collector Saima Aftab has issued two Orders-in-Origins (OnOs) to accused parties.
Sources told Customs Today that one OnO was issued to Abid Shah whose case was forwarded by anti-smuggling organization Sargodha for his alleged involvement in tax evasion while the second OnO was issued to Atta Ullah of Mianwali.
Customs authorities seized a huge quantity of smuggled items from both of the suspects. Both persons failed to provide any relevant documents regarding possession of these items. Upon their failure customs authorities seized the goods and forward the case to customs adjudication.
Now Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector directed them to appear on March 25, 2016 for hearing.
