ISLAMABAD: The federal government is likely to hike development budget by Rs161 billion for the upcoming fiscal year.
The outlay of Federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and provincial Annual Development Plan’s (ADP) will reach Rs1675 billion mark against the current year’s allocation of Rs1514 billion.
The development outlay for the fiscal 2016-17 is Rs161 billion higher than the previous year, which was Rs1514 billion, including Rs700 billion under the head of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and Rs814 billion under the head of provincial Annual Development Programme (ADP).
Out of Rs800 billion, Rs655 billion will go to the developmental projects by the ministries, divisions and corporations/authorities, while Rs145 billion will go to the special programmes.
