DG Customs Intelligence Imtiaz Ahmad to visit Karachi to review anti-smuggling measures

KARACHI: The officers of the different departments of Customs Intelligence and Investigation have started compiling progress report of the last three months.

According to the source in Customs Intelligence and Investigation, the Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad Khan is expected to visit the regional office to review the overall progress of the departments.

The Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad will specially focus and review the progress of the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and the Enforcement Department, added source.

During the visit of the Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad the heads of the different departments of the regional office will gave a detail briefing on last three month activities.

Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad will direct the officers to enhance the vigilance and spread the net of the informers across Sindh so that the culprits involved in the crime can be caught.

More than a week ago on the directives of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Director General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmed had directed the Enforcement Department to remain vigilant and keep an eagle eye to stop the revenue leakages causing millions of rupees loss to the country by importers of the different goods.
